The Advanced Fiber Optic Termination (AFT) is an add-on unit to the Anguila
ACT Electrical System. The termination is based upon design principles and standard
field proven parts from the Anguila distribution system. Use of the system is
in principle unlimited with respect to water depth and design lifetime, submerged
in seawater, is 25 years. The termination is completely oil filled and pressure
and temperature compensated within wide ranges through Anguila hoses. The termination
may be a stand-alone unit or integrated in the umbilical head.
